Can You Practise Sweep With A Metronome?!

Ok I will give you couple of advices . First advice take fast rhythms and play them half time. So if you have 4 16th notes they immediately become 4 8th notes. If you want to go even further make those 8th notes quarter notes ! With triplets if you are getting confused do the same thing. 16th note triplet becomes 8th note triplet. That's cool cuz I am learning the part immediately after those sweeps and they would be easier to learn slowed down! I believe they are 8ths... so I would slow em down to quarter notes! I've been working on it on and off for a while now and I can pretty much play everything full speed except for the sweep part between measures 156 and 164. Posts: 2.700 Joined: 18-March 07 From: South Wales, UK	You could also change the tempo (bpm) to a slower one which you are more comfortable with, then slowly increase it as you get comfortable with the newer speeds. Also turning on the metronome setting will help you keep time at these new speeds. And if there are guitars and drums (other than the solo guitar) why not mute the track you are trying to learn? With metronome you practice more efficiently and you will keep time more accurately then without it. Do you have any specific problem when playing sweeps on low tempos perhaps? I had to figure this out on my own. In the beginning I didn't have the technique to play 32nd notes at all so I would make them 16th, 8th etc. Then it is just a matter or speeding those up.
