The good news is that for about $50 you can get any of the audio interfaces listed below. So it's pretty cheap to get going and your iphone or ipod, ipad, can serve as a mobile production platform and add to your home studio!.
The iRig is a good way to go and works with the Free AMplitude plugin as most other apps as well. Under $50 for the hardware! http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/irig/ The Peavy ampkit is another way to go for about the same price! http://peavey.com/products/recording/ampkitlink/ And POSITIVE GRID has their own interface for a bit less. http://www.positivegrid.com/jamup-plug/ Don't forget the handy little Tascam iXz! I have one of these and it's killer SUPPORTS XLR INPUT For microphones or any other XLR cable based input as a bonus! It;s the most flexible for around the same $50 price point. http://tascam.com/product/ixz/ These are compatible with IPOD, iPHONE, and IPAD. So for about fifty euro/dollars, your ready to jump in to mobile music production I'm gonna have to make a post about this! Todd |
