Hey there...

I've always played acoustic and dabbled in electric guitar. I just sold my mim strat and bought a '07 fender highway one yesterday. Anyway the only pedal I have is the boss chromatic tuner and play straight thru to the fender blues junior amp, so I don't anything about pedals! So I was hoping someone could help me out with some ideas. I enjoy playing blues and blues rock, somewhere in that area of sound.

Thanks,

John

what are you looking for? A distortion/overdrive pedal or a multieffect/ampsimulator .. or maybe a pedal which make your guitar sound like a church organ laugh.gif. There are tons of pedals. Since you said that you like blues/rock i guess it`s an overdrive/distortion pedal you are looking for. You could always check out the Boss Blues driver or Boss SD1 Overdrive.

Digitech Bad Monkey is a great, cheap tube driver pedal.

Would I use a blues driver if I already have an all tube amp? I've someone from work who plays recommend a compression pedal. And something called a tube screamer? I think I'd like to try that jimi hendrix pedal though.

Right now my equipment is: Fender highway one strat and a fender blues junior amp...

I can only recommend a few I have myself that I wouldn't want to be without.

Also got the Bad Monkey and it's a great pedal. Ibanez Echo/Delay D7 (something). Behringer Equalizer (it's plastic which is bad but the sound is as good as any other brand). Ibanez Screamin Demon (Wah).
Those are the ones I like the best and use the most.

I have a distortion pedal but I never use it, I thik the dist from the amp feels more genuine.

The Bad Monkey is a cheaper (and some say better) Tubescreamer.
