been experimenting first clip is cab on the floor mic staight on

That's a nice rig there! Getting some good tones too Experiment with moving the mic around a bit, and layer guitar tracks using different mic placements. Also, having a buddy to move the mic while you listen for right tone is handy if possible. Getting the tone from the room in to your recording gear is it's own art.

thanks todd, what do you mean by "layer guitar tracks"? im new to all this.

Hey man - I am sure that Todd was referring to recording 2 guitar tracks and panning them left and right on two different channels in your Digital Audio Workstation - the software in which you record.
I have to say, nice rig I dream of the day when I will have my own Mesa!

Oh, oh - not too much gain, ok? The greatness and spaciness of the tone will occur from the layering
