That's interesting. Plug it into the return of any amp's fxs loop or direct into the audio interface.

I really like the idea of pedal sized preamps and even tried some (tech 21) but to be honest I'm not really sure about these.

99 bucks to me is too much for digital, looking at affordable processors there are some amazing options compared to it...and the fact that 1 amp sim. is never enough biggrin.gif

On the used market, these will be 50 bux each. Seems more than fair for a rough interpretation of some of the most sought after preamp sections that we will likely not ever own. I might grab a few when I find them in the used rack at Atlanta Discount Music. They have an enormous selection and I have no doubt these will find their way in to stacks in no time smile.gif

These do sound quite a bit a like at high gain imho. There are subtle differences though smile.gif For a small pedal board, maybe using the 44cal pedal as power amp, it would make a fine setup for traveling light smile.gif Lugging my rack around can get tiresome for sure.

Here is ola doing his thing with them smile.gif

I'm trying to think who would use this. Maybe someone who wants one amp sound, but they have the wrong amp. For example, they want their rig to be a modern higain sound, but the amp they have is a Fender with an effects loop. So they use this instead of replacing their amp with a higain amp? But you're right. As soon as you want a second amp sound or effects, you'd be better off with a multieffects like an Amplifire.

I see their application being better for recording.

There ya go smile.gif Yeah, that one pedal at about a hundred bux can do pretty much everything. These mini mooer pedals are foor folks who want a diezel but don't have several thousand dollars to buy one. Or an Engl, etc. Sure, many multi pedals have similar amps on deck, mooer is betting that they have nailed the sound of these certain amps better than cheap sims in the same price range.

As was mentioned, someone with a fender deluxe who wants to play Meshuggah, would also benefit smile.gif

One thing is clear, this is shaping up to be a great year for pedals at NAMM.
