This is a cool list of solos with most feeling, however I have some problems with Kirk's tuning live. By the way, Metallica is the band, and he composed some of the best riffs and solos of rock and metal.

10. In This River (Black Label Society)
9. Spirit Carries On (Dream Theater)
8. Still Got The Blue (Gary Moore)
7. Fade To Black (Metallica)
6. Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen)
5. Mr. Crowley (Ozzy Osbourne)
4. You Don't Remember, I'll Never Forget (Yngwie Malmsteen)
3. Floods (Pantera)
2. Tender Surrender (Steve Vai)
1. Comfortably Numb (Pink Floyd)

What solo would you add to this list?

"Shine on you crazy diamond" the whole intro section has some of the most amazing playing I've ever heard. that would be my number 1 choice.
Also that Mr Higgins has an incredibly tasty little number that gets me in the feels everytime - 'Blues for Lucifer'. It switches from light to dark at will, cool dynamics and great phrasing.

Scott mate, you are spot on, I love Shone ON, and only yesterday I was listening to Blues For Lucifer in my car on the way home and thinking how tasty it is.
