GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ Thickness Of Picks And Strings?

What thicknesses of picks and strings do you guys use?

(apologies if this topic has been done before, I cant see it anywhere )

At the moment I'm using Rotosound 9's for strings, although they're a bit old and needing replaced and I'm using Dunlop 1.5mm picks.

I use Elixir .10-.46 gauge strings and Dunlop Ultex 1.14 picks

I have Elixer's on my acoustic, you know how they're meant to be non-rust?

... They rusted xD

I use 0.10 Elixir strings. I dont really know how thick my pick is, it doesnt say anything on it. I use Jim Dunlop jazz III.

D'Addario 9-42 strings, and Peavey 1.4 and 1.14 picks.

Dunlop Jazz III's are 1.13 or something if I remember right. it says on the outside packaging when you buy a 6 pack. I love those picks. at first playing with a small pick was weird, now i cant play with anything but!

I have d addario XL's right now .011 - .049's. way better tone than the hybrid slinky's I was using before

and really improved my hand control and strength
