Hey I just picked up this new interface and can not seem to get it to work properly. It installs fine and the drivers seem to work. What i can't get to work though is any mic in the preamps. The device registers there is a mic because it picks up on the db metre. When recording in cubase or prologic though, it captures the audio really quietly and only through the right speaker. May i have it set up improperly?

Hey. So I just decided to upgrade my audio card to something external and easier to use. I purchased the Alesis io14 and have had nothing but trouble with it in terms of setting it up. I am running on Vista..yea, but the interface does support vista as it has the newest drivers for it on its website. Anyway, my problem is that I absolutely cannot get my mic to generate sound into and from it. I have little experience with the hardware side of audio so can someone guide me in the right direction? I am using cubase sx3 to record guitar and vocals. Any help would..help. thanks.

It's come to the point where my songs are needing vocals and so I have purchased autotune in hopes that it will ease my nontalented singing. The only problem is that I know little of how to use it? does anyone have a good link to any online tutorials, because all i really know what to do with it so far is use the autocorrect function which doesn't seem to be doing a hell of a lot. OH! and I also found how to make t-pains voice..not particularly useful though. Anyone who could give me a hand at where to start would be nice!

I was just wondering how artists record many voices so it sounds like a crowd is backing up their singing. I know they would obviously record many people at once, but as this is a bedroom project, is there a way i can fake it and say record my voice and have it sound like there are many people actually singing?
