Here is a news report about it. According to this report, 13 People have died so far, jut from the Heat. (Some reports are as high as 23)

Haha...18, I wish, I am in Australia's North, in Darwin...usually about 30-35 with up to 85% himidity in the we season (December to May)....the only room that gets air con is my guitar room...."we can sweat it out, my guitars have to be in a pristine environment" haha cool.gif

I'm at sea, it's very hot here, but the climate is different, although the Sun is burning, there is always fresh breeze from the sea. Back home it's humidity that can kill you, that's definitely true..

Now that is a great use of Air Con smile.gif I actually had to buy a portable Air Con unit to supplement the Central Air in my condo! The electric bills are about 600 US per month which is BRUTAL.

I think it got about 100 here last month or so for awhile. In Florida though its not the temperature extremes that get you. If its hot, its extremely humid, making it feel worse. If its cold, its extremely dry, making it bite.

I know people who prefer 10 degrees in New York over 40 degrees in Florida.
