This is a song I am going to redo with my band ARKASA. It's something I've been working on for a long time. They did a great job with another song I could never seem to finish called "Momento Mori" they put vocals to it, arranged it, added strings, and I love how it turned out. I'm hoping this one goes the same way smile.gif I wanted to ask you guys what you think of it as it stands and see if you have any suggestions on how to make it better?

The title is based on this scene from one of my all time fave sci fi movies, BLADE RUNNER. The bad guy is about to die in this scene and he regrets that all of his memories will be lost like tears in rain.

Quick notes;

-intro solo tone can be a bit sharper sounding and compressed
-delayed chords can be more stereo and a bit lower in volume or deeper toned

The overall tone is extremely sweet but a bit too close to hazy sounding. I suspect not the reverb level but how its distributed, maybe opening another with the same preset but with less length may give help that.

But I also suspect any chorus-like fx may also be the reason I felt hazyness, maybe with such reverby overall tone it might be unnecessary (not technical but musical sound comment). This may become a problem if you'll want to compress a bit more on the mastering stage.

As said really liked the sweetness (any info on what did you use as reverb etc.?) and the music has a nice flow to it I'm personally kind of fond of.

Thanks for giving it a listen! It's just a demo at this point so the tones are not set in stone. Just working on the arrangement really. I should have been more specific in my feedback request. I'm using Overloud THU of course for all the guitar tones and these area all stock presets which is rare for me as I hate most stock presets. lately though, the new presets that Overloud has been giving away have greatly improved. it makes building up demo tracks much quicker as I don't have to create all my own tones!

I'm glad you like the flow of the composition. I wanted to give it a smooth, flowing vibe where the parts melt in to each other instead of being very distinct and cutting from bridge/chorus/verse etc. I can't wait to see what my band mates do with it!

Very cool and points out what I like most about THU, which isn't an in the room realizm (to me) but a ready sound that needs a minimum of mixing.

Well said!! It's rare that I like built in presets in general. However, THU has lately been sharing some very good ones. Various artist packs and such.
