It's a proven fact that guitar faces have a bigger impact on tone than wood does.

This is a great thread, Ben, as well as a question I have wondered about. I have really enjoyed reading all the replies. When I finally signed up, it was kind of hard picking out a name. Even though my username is kind of gross, I chose it cause of Helter Skelter. biggrin.gif

I thought I knew quite a lot about the Beatles, but now I am telling on myself. ohmy.gif I always thought it was John who shouted, "I've got blisters on my fingers". After I signed up I finally found out it was actually Ringo. But also, while I was "stalking" GMC for a year as a guest, I noticed the callouses building up on my fingers & thought how cool they felt. Then, when I didn't play for a while, the callouses would slowly start disappearing. So now (one of the reasons) I try to practice everyday so I don't lose my cool callouses!

Gary

Mine is related to my job. I'm a New York State Trooper, and parts of our uniform are representative of the original Praetorian Guard in Rome.
