That's right, to bypass the preamp you go to the return jack. And the guitar cord goes into the multieffect ofc.
EDIT: Send/Fx out is from the preamp Return/Fx in is into the poweramp. I've tried all thinkable connections of a Line6 X3 Live into a tube amp and wasn't particulary happy with the result in either position. Didn't get a convincing result running the X3 set in "preamp" mode into return. Before the amp, with amp modeling and running on the clean channel was the nicest after all. Which, in all theory and suggestions you read in forums is how to NOT use it. Worked the best for me though. Less "plastic" than the other combinations. -------------------- My bands homepage
