This morning I wake up - I take my guitar and I play some minutes without amp without backingtrack - I felt good.
I decided to record a video immediately as Kris advised it to me some times ago.
I had some fun than usually, because I did not have fatigue in fingers and ears.

I tried to reproduce some speed vibrato like Stephane but it's not easy
I gave the best of me with this magnificent lesson

Hey there!

As we all know, these kind of lessons bring much more trouble than expected. Because all sense of it is the amount of details, then every detail counts. Moving note in time or replacing articulation with other one make things loose their original flavor. Through time you've worked out great dynamics control and sensitivity of your right hand. I remember we spoke abot that year or more before. today I can truly say you are capable of doing it right way - bright tone that sings with it's warmth because of your articulation instead of tweaking the amp. Bravo....that's exactly what I meant back then. Now as an opposite, for this lesson even Stephane uses to tone off. I think it would not harm the track if you roll of some of the treble knob to get that "poof" in the stronger notes as well....which seems to be the purpose in this lesson. Your sense of dynamics and "hand tone control" increases continuosly.

Let me just point out some raw spots where you could get even closer to the original.

0:10 - has some a missing notes

0:33 - unconfident response part of the lick

0:48 - one note missing - visible but not audiable

0:58 - wrong timing spot comparing to original

1:07 - less smooth/bluesy timing of the run. Stephane makes it less even with the track...more swing laid back

1:19 - this lick needs to be reviewed some notes are missing in the dense part. Same thing few moments later

In general you tend too loose notes. When there are dense parts something goes wrong and you probably tense a bit (maybe due to record on) and you loose the softest notes.

Anyway it was again a piece of great job.

Seems to me you hit the nail!! You take is truly enjoyable - and I really got the feeling you were just playing, and not trying to get everything "correct" for the REC submission. So perhaps this is a winning recording strategy for you?

The original lesson has an massive amount of subtlety which the difficulty level (4) does not account for - and therefore I can easily give you a 9.

To get even closer to Steph's feeling you would make even more use of dynamics and keep working on your vibrato and tone.
