Cool stuff! Thanks guys!

I've just found this new EP:

I recommend Nick Johnston - Atomic Mind. It's a really great album with a blues-rock flavour. All the songs are amazing but "Wonderful Madness" (28:01) and "Scoundrel's Lounge" (37:56) sounds truly killer!!! wink.gif

Gay Paris, aussie band with an incredible amount of stage energy that are heavily influenced by Clutch. This song is from their second last album "the last party" and their new album "the dark arts" is awesome as well. Think swamp rock \m/@.@\m/

I recommend Intervals' new album: THE SHAPE OF COLOUR. It's full of emotion. Here is the closing track - my favorite! smile.gif
I love love love the phrasing melodies at 50 seconds. This artist has had a positive influence on my own music.

Jan Cyrka had a column in Guitarist Magazine many years ago, that album came out in 1992.
I can't remember how I came across Rob but we've been connected for years, I've helped him out a little over here by sending demos to Magazines and getting my mate to sell his instructional DVD in his guitar shop.
They're both on my Facebook contacts if you want to connect.
Steve Vai went to Jan's house once to record something for the magazine, that must have been good smile.gif
Cheers

I was enjoying this song quite a bit recently, but it might be well known amongst you already:
Although what I am still really baffled about is that this is a woman singing blink.gif

Awesome story! Yes, his music reminds me a lot to Steve Vai. Has he released albums after this one?

been listening to EX MORTUS and thinking. Hmm. I swore I wrote that riff at some point!

Posted by: bleez Jan 7 2016, 10:32 PM

Im really getting into the latest album from 'Uncle acid and the deadbeats'. I like how they are described as 'The evil Beatles' biggrin.gif Its quite fitting to their sound.

this is the title track from the album -

and this one also, just because cool.gif

I actually saw them live when they supported Black Sabbath on the 13 tour but tbh I was far too excited about being in the same building as Tony Iommi to pay too much attention but I remember them being loud, doomy and evil smile.gif

I find last Freak Kitchen's album cool...

Good riffs and vocals that remind me a bit to Dio. Nice!

Trailerhead: Immediate. You can hear the full album here, one track has a lovely guitar solo in it, can't remember which though and not got time to go through it. I was playing this tonight in the car, can't help but turn it up smile.gif

Nice one Mr Jones wink.gif I've never heard of them unsure.gif

Another from my youth, there was a TV play that this is the soundtrack to, I can't find it anywhere, go the album though wink.gif

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LiLIzuA_Pj0

And another one, I used to love these, saw them loads of times at a little club called "The Cedar club" in Birmingham. Info http://www.birminghammusicarchive.com/cedar-clubrebeccasbarbarellaspolyannas/ It was opened in the 60's by Eddie Frewtrell who's brothers fought off the Krays when they tried to make Birmingham there's. Hendrix poped in one night and clammbered on stage for a jam, the Faces, Rod Stewart, Status Quo all used to pop in when in town playing the nearby Odean.
Gab I'd love to hear your comments about the musicality of this, playing in front of or behind the beat, in tune, in key, etc.

This one's always something I'll recommend, Jeremy Irons and the Ratgang Malibus' album "Spirit Knife." It's ridiculously good front to back. Kind of in the vein of retro-psychedelic-krautrock.
