Whammy Bars, What are good ones made of?

Okay, my first whammy bar was made of cast illuminum... i broke... i have a brass one that is bent nearly broken... what should a PROPER whammy be made of that wont break...

Diamond? Tungsten Carbide? Carbon Nano-tubes? Neutron Star matter?

Just a few suggestions as I have no idea - a real guess would be something springy like steel so if you do bend it a little it will retain its shape.

Whammy bar got broken? I have never heard of such thing before, honestly.
How do you use it/play with it? Maybe the tremolo tension springs is set too tight?

well i never put the whammy in that far, and i would do major divebombs and stuf... could be the tremolo tension thingy i never heard about o.O
