Thats the dilema my friends

Ibanez JS-100
Ibanez RG prestiege
Ibanez S prestiege
Gibson flying V

Budget: MAX 900 EUROS

I´m realy leaning on the JS-100 but im kinda scared of the Medium jumbo and 22 frets thing (im a 24 frets guy dont ask me why)

now i would prefer an S over the RG because it body is similar to the JS body

and a Gibson flying V because its pure awesomeness

the cool thing about the prestiege is that they are mostly hand made in japan and come with a case

so maybe you guys can help me ..

the tone that i want is a shredding singing tone similar to Satch

guys im realy lost in this one i beg you HEEEEELP ME

thnx for reading smile.gif

why is the JS 100 even on that list?

its not nearly as good as any of the others you have listed.

the RG prestige would be the way to go in my opinion.

S prestiges have been known to suffer from sustain issues (not sure why), RGs are tried and true and will give you great quality.

the gibby is nice as well. it comes down to what sound you want: bass wood or mahogany body. Floyd or no floyd. Thin or thicker neck. and american made or japan made (this is preference)

Definitely not the JS-100!!

A Prestige RG or S Series is way better than the JS-100, Prestige Ibanez are made in Japan and feature higher quality in all aspects + you get more bang for the buck on a non signature guitar!!!

Try to find a used Rg or S Prestige in a good condition and spend the rest of the money on DiMarzio Satriani or Steve Vai Pickups to get in the Ballpark of their sounds. You CAN get Satriani sounds out of a Gibson V but you will have no Tremolo and not everybody is a Flying V player (looks weird on some people, others can't play them sitting down right..)
The Rg's have 24 frets and are made from basswood like Satchs guitars while the S series have thin mahagony bodies and mostly 22 frets.

oh i forgot to mention that the S prestige series all come with 24 frets (2009-2010 models) and the older ones are not made in japan and have 22 frets, so watch out for that one!

the thing with the JS is that i just love the frikin body of that thing

i will probably go with an Ibanez Ibanez RG1570 <----EDITED
love the edge pro BUT I HATE the HSH set up sad.gif

heres the specs id like

24 Jumbo frets
Thin neck like my Rgr320ex-rbk
HH set up
(il put the paf joe and mo joe pick ups)
edge pro
and a nice finish

Just get the RG and lower the middle single coil into the body if you are not needing it. Or remove it and leave the space empty Or just get a HH-Scratchplate for the RG and it will cover the hole!

Hmmm, the Gibson Flying V is a different guitar, an awesome one though smile.gif

Do you need the tremolo bar?

if you do, then the prestige,

then the Gibson I would say
