Spent the day doing drum tracks again and finally put down some of my ideas for a song I have going on in my head.

Let me know what you think, and also I am not sure where I am going to take it from here, but how do you guys start to come up with lead ideas? I know for now I can not play as fast as some of the things I hear in my head. How do you compensate for that so you can still have a song?

I like it smile.gif
I always listen to the tune for a while, not sitting next to my guitar, but while I'm doing something else or relaxing. Put it on loop. Solo ideas usually make themselves known. Doesn't have to be a fast solo. Always play to your strengths for recording - you can always revisit your solo ideas after you've built up more of an arsenal to work with. If you wait to record until you've practiced a blazing fast solo up to speed, you'll never get anything recorded! Speed comes with time. No shortcuts that I'm aware of smile.gif

Hey Michael! The idea is very good, but you should pay attention to the timing, as there are certain slips here and there! Keep up the good work!

Thanks! He he cool.gif , yes I knew there were some mistakes, I almost didn't put it up because I tend to be a perfectionist. Will keep working on it!

This is quite good man, it sounds very nice! smile.gif It needs some polishing up, the timing is a bit bad, but it's very nice rocking riff.

You can start some solo by using A minor pentatonic scale:

And go from there! smile.gif
