Hi GMC I am just interested in that question...I am looking for some videos which are, in your opinion, artistically demanding stuff...things which makes you wonder what is being expressed there, for instance...Please bear in mind that it is just about the video that you like not necessarily the music of the video...would love to hear your views and see your links biggrin.gif

There are so many amazing music videos, Hard to pick them all. But some of my favorites are

Opeth - Porcelain Heart
--Beautiful video and more importantly song. It matches the atmosphere to the entire "Watershed" album dead on and really gives me so much inspiration

Dream Theater - Forsaken
--The art is just beautiful, the music of course is great. It fits the song perfectly and gives off a very ominous sci-fi horror feel, Which I just love.

Nightwish - The Islander
--Atmosphere of the whole video gives me the feeling of being afloat at sea, I just love this video. Amazing.

Epica - Cry For The Moon
--Just love the performance, Utterly beautiful and flawless.

Burzum - Dunkelheit - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luFCBdS5PAs

I would also mention Agalloch's not unlike the waves, but I'm not in the mood to link a video that cut the song, so I won't.

This wasn't an MTV video it was a VHS I bought years ago. It is mostly
narrated by the music of Frank Zappa and has some interesting stuff.
There is no doubt he was a creative genius but this film tripped me out.
Lots of things I understood, lots of thing I didn't.........

I found this trailer on youtube

Devin Townsend is so cool. Apparently he uses some really unique tuning, not exactly sure what is it. I think he said he tunes in 5ths or something strange. Does that turn every 2 strings into a power chord just by barring them?

I don´t know, if anyone knows this one, in Germany noone even knows the band, but I like the topic discussed in the record "Heroin Diaries" and it´s imo just amazing paintwork in this vid if you think about the lyrics:)
