Do you have a floating bridge ? If so, are the springs fresh on it and the intonation set correctly ? Are the strings super fresh or super old ?

Yes, I have a floating bridge. It's set completely parallel. The springs are super fresh as the guitar is new, or it was new in April. But it's been in the shop before. How often do the springs need to be changed? Intonation is perfect. The string are like a little over a month old. And I think I wear them down pretty quickly. So it's time to change them. But shouldn't they go flat if this were the case? Yeah, floating bridge might be issue here. Sometimes it gets stuck a bit with wood(body) on the side/s. Check out does it have enough room to move free. Or perhaps contact between bridge and two big screws on the front of body is not that good as it should be... Yes, the bridge can move up and down, if that's what you mean. I'm not sure how it can get stuck. It seems to me there is enough space between the body and the bridge on the sides. Which two big screws? You mean the ones for intonation or the string highth? Or did you mean in the back? Yeah, I did that already, you gave me great advice on it. And the bridge is parallel to the body. And I did take it to a guitar shop then and they said everything was fine. I meant "sort of" stuck but if it has enough space than it's ok Yeah, screws that adjust hight of the bridge. Bridge is rolling over them while you're doing whammy stuff and if there is some rust on it, then bridge doesn't return to its original spot. It's just something I think might be...not exclusive tho -------------------- Youtube

Oh, no there's no rust. That's odd Deal is,I used floating bridge a lot before and had same problems here and there. But after I got Musicman with only way-down Floyd,I sleep like a baby -------------------- Youtube

That's odd Well, my main suspect are the strings for now. (I over-stretched them and now they're shrinking because they remember what I did to them back when they were new. ) |
