Hey,
I've just finished learning the song Nothing Else Matters and uploaded the solo part.
It's the first solo I play in the original speed... huh.gif

Please give me you're feedback!

Good job on this one! Keep at it! Notes are perfect and all, and I only have one advice, which is actually an advice of Marty Friedman's:

Play like you mean it! Play with confidence!

That is one thing I too am trying to incorporate into my playing and it is very valuable. So that is all I can say - it sometimes felt like you didn't play with 100% confidence in your playing. If you do that, it would be spot on!

What guitar and equipment did you use for this?

Thanks mate!

Now that I hear it again, I kinda see what you're talking about, I'm sure it'll improve with time...

My equipment is a bit on the budget-side for now, altough for this specific song I'm quite happy with the result. I have a Washburn N1 and a VOX Pathfinder 15R...

I've only heard good things about VOX actually, though I don't know much.

That said - my critique wasn't meant to sound harsh if it did. Adding the 100% confidence in what you play adds a lot to your playing, I've come to realise.

Cool take man, just work a little bit on your vibrato to make it sound more confident and expressive..

Very nice and clean mate! Two things I suggest:

- Finding a better preset
- working on that close to the end bend-release-pulloff lick more, that is the only thing you didn't get on the click.

The rest of it is great and with some refinement you will sound like a pro! smile.gif

yeah, great playing, although the sound is not the best. Same advices as before: be careful with vibrato and bending notes smile.gif

just listened to this, its one of my all time fav songs and i absolutly love the solo, your tone needs some work and it seems as if you ended some of the notes near the end a little early. awesome attempt though, keep at it.

Nailed the notes man, great!

However, I think you could get a better tone.

What gear are you using?

Edit: does your Vox have any delay? some delay or reverb would be a huge boost to your tone.
