Hi all...
I thought id post this here. Has anyone else have the strange sensation of your right hand and arm falling asleep or losing circulation when playing? I currently play an acoustic sitting down until I find an electric I like. But its really a pain in the ass because i cant accuately pick because my hand is feeling all wierd. Thanks for any feedback.

hey cody -
i've had the same thing happen when playing an acoustic... it's most likely because of the inside of your upper arm is resting with all the weight of your arm against the sharp edge of the acoustic and it's putting pressure against veins or something of that nature to cause poor blood circulation. try playing with the guitar on your left leg like the classical sitting style. it'll allow your arm to be more free, but will take some real getting used too. and as there's been a discussion on this forum in regards to that sitting style will actually prepare you for standing up and playing.
hope that helps!!

My legs always fall asleep
The best way to keep your hands from getting numb from playing is to get a girlfriend.
