Hi again!

I've just commented your take on Gary Clark Jr lesson. This one is very different but all the things that I comments (except the tuning issue because you don't play on higher frets) is applicable here.

I can hear the groove and timing issue and I still think that it's related to that right hand thing that I've detailed https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_forum/index.php?showtopic=60649&view=findpost&p=773992.

Be careful with timing when playing those bends like the one at 00:14.

Cool -

My feedback here would be very similar to the Gary Clark Jr lesson - you are feeling it but there are lots of technical stuff to comment on.

I think this goes to prove that in general you should spend a bit more time practicing on the slower tempos while focusing on being in control of your hand tension - and locking in with your foot/groove.

Keep it up you get a 7 from me!

Congrats on a completed REC! Just getting through a REC is a victory. It represents hours of practice and deserves recognition. I would echo what has been said and add that I noticed your bends have a bit more travel than the bends in the original Rec Lesson Vid. This results in some of them sounding a pinch out of tune. You have good hand synch and muting here so your technique is coming along nicely!! I'd say you are ready to conquer the next REC!

Hey there!

I notice one essential difference in execution. Gab is using very warm, tone-rolled-off sound. There is one mistake you do and it is clearly noticed in tabulature. Gabriel doesn't use palm muting as long as the full powerchord section comes in. Difference in tone is caused by his dynamics control of his right hand. It is not to be mistaken with palm muting, even if it may sound alike at first "sight". Your tone is very harsh compared to original and it can lead to wrong hand articulation. It has (no matter if already at the amp stage or in front of it) a kind of treble boost. It affects amp's response and partially will make things harder to get such a contrast between soft and heavy picking, such as Gabriel gets in his original take.

Around 0:25 when you do the position shifts, remember to do them in the last possible moment. Quickly and precisley. You tend to loose the quality of every second palm muted powerchord, because you start to release your fretting fingers and prepare them to move to other position. As opposite you can be a good example for yourself because around 0:35 you make nice and tight position shifts with these open powerchords. That's exactly how you should perform in the earlier part

There are some moments with timing issues and moments when you loose hand sync but overall you're going in the good direction. I like your confident and powerfull right hand performance.
