It is good unit regarding effects but I'm just not 100% sure about drive,
I would use drive from somewhere else, amp or pedal. -------------------- Youtube

I agree with Muris. Drive isn't really necessary...

Yeah, I guess the drive would be optional as you can use as many pedals longside this as is necessary, however having it built in is in effect having an extra drive pedal anyway, and its nova analogue so it should be pretty good. Its funny that the G system, which is this things big brother, doesnt come with a drive??? Same thing with all previous T.C. units, those are effects unit and drive is not an effect, at least not THAT kind of effect. Now they are trying to cover that as well but imo drive on Nova cannot be as good as effects. -------------------- Youtube

If you get it I would suggest, like many others above, that just use the effects on it and get the drive from another source if you need some.

It is good unit regarding effects but I'm just not 100% sure about drive, I would use drive from somewhere else, amp or pedal. A ha TC, same with Lexicon and Eventide, are better known for time delay and harmoniser type stuff. To paraphrase, 'No one ever bought an Eclipse for the distortion' . More seriously, TC are very good at time based stuff but if you can do check out Lexicon and Eventide as to some extent at this end of the market it's partly about usability (how you get on with the software/hardware) and partly about whether you prefer the TC type sound to Lexicon etc. -------------------- Get your music professionally mastered by anl AES registered Mastering Engineer.
