How would you play this (from Canon Rock)

How would you do this? I have been practicing as it is written, without hammers or pull offs. I play the 7th note of 1st bar (at 12th fret) with pinky and slide up. I play the 5th note of 2nd bar with pinky. But all in all, it seems cumbersome. The fingering you said is right. Btw. if you are posting any tabs - select the Courier New font - than there will be no displacement of the tabs.
