GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ Is There A Musical Similarity?

Posted by: Phil66 Sep 28 2014, 08:16 PM

OK I've just got back from Mallorca, too knackered to pick up my guitar, I never sleep a wink the night before returning for some reason rolleyes.gif

In one of the restaurants we were eating in they kept playing an Adele song, Turning Tables, part of it reminded me of a song I just couldn't quite remember, it was really bugging me as all I could remember was the basic melody of this certain part and the words "deep fried chicken". Anyway I have had to search for it tonight, I couldn't get it out of my head, you know when you can nearly hear it in your head but can't quite reach it? I found it quite quickly so, here are the two parts, is there something musically similar here or are my ears playing a trick?
I also found it quite interesting at how they both appear at very similar times within their own respective song. Hope this makes sense. I've put the parts as hyperlinks as the youtube insert link doesn't take you to the timed location, the full songs are beneath should you want to hear them.

Hi mate, the link to train's song starts at around 2:42 but Adele's starts at the beginning on the song. I don't hear similarities there, I keep on listening to Adele's song and I didn't find easily where are the parts that you are referring. However I must say that I've never heard those songs... which are the exact parts (in minutes)?

Hello Gab,

Did you click the hyperlinks between the message and the YouTube windows? They should work. Anyway, the Adele but starts at 2:36 and the Train at 2:34, if you look at the hyperlinks there is a number at the end, this represents the seconds the video should start playing.
Cheers Gab.
Phil
P.S I tried the hyperlinks just and they both start at near enough the right point in, strange that they don't for you huh.gif
