5. Friend from home who helped me get started
1. Tony Iommi - He lost two of his finger tips on his fretting hand the day before he was suppose to quit his job to tour with Black Sabbath. The doctors all said he would never play guitar again. He went on to INVENT HEAVY METAL. It was his idea to "write scary music". Anyone who's ever loved Metal owes this man a debt of gratitude, and yet he's rarely mentioned in lists like this.
The rest is in no particular order:
Iron Maiden - Their songs conjure up strength and courage in me where there was none. Theres a word for that, its called Magic.
Eric Clapton - Dont need to explain
Kurt Cobain - for his melodic haikus
Jimi Hendrix - see Eric Clapton
George Lynch
Nuno Bettencourt
Traci Guns
Billy Duffy
Mick Mars
In no particular Order :-
1. Kristofer Dahl - This guy without a doubt is my first and biggest influence, i listened to everything he had to teach when i first picked up guitar and its still paying off today. (lucky too that as a then new player i had no bad habits to start with )
2. Paul Gilbert, because he is an entire package when it comes to music, and he just makes me want to be as good as i can be. Not just a shredder, he has perfect rythm, timeing and musicality.
3. Buckethead, for the shame reasons really, this guy is music! From the cleanest fastest most face frying shred runs, to his beautiful melodic acoustic playing. Generally leaves my jaw on the floor
4. The Edge, Ok so he may not be the most technical guy in the world, but im a proud fan! This guy is very talented in my eyes, not about ego, he sets the mood for each song perfectly.
5. Muris, Gabriel and Pavel
1. Paul Samson - first album, first songs atempted to learn on the guitar
2.Viv Campbell - from the Dio days
3.Glen Tipton - Judas Priest
4. Joe satriani
5. Steve Vai
Many others too but prob my top 5.

2. Slash
3. Varg Vikernes (made me want to play the guitar, together with Åkerfeldt, Tom Morello and Peter Lindgren)
4. Peter Lindgren
5. Tom Morello
I realise it's stupid to have both Åkerfeldt and Lingren there, but I don't care!
My top 5:
1.Jimmi Hendrix (the reason why i play guiar)
