Back in the 70's everyone thought the Earth was headed back into an ice age and it was "global cooling". Global Warming is fear mongering to support a political agenda (no I'm not saying conservation is a bad thing, just that other events, like INCREASED SOLAR ACTIVITY could cause the earth to heat up as well, which seems very likely the case). Those are gorgeous pictures, but I am a weenie in the cold, so I would much rather maybe visit a clime like that and get it out of my system, I don't think I could live there but man those are pretty pictures!
