I'll echo others and say 10's. I like 10's for anything down to standard D. Its personal preference though. Try what you got and go heavier if you need to.

Erm I played a guitar exactly like that yesterday just in black cherry and I LOVED it. it has a nice beefy neck but not too beefy, riffing pick ups, awesome trem. I wantttt it!
