I've a got roland microcube and its got a rec/out socket which my headphones work in.

Get a vox plug.
Dutch: die dinge kun je in je jack shuiven en dan zit daar een koptelefoon ingang op. Ziet er nog stoer uit ook. |

Well don't use output jack to connect to headphones, it won't work and you may damage your equipment...I suggest getting a separate interface to play in quiet....Maybe pandora processor, toneport for PC...

It is best to buy some cheap interface device like Toneport GX for silent playing if your amp doesn't have phones out mate.
