Yup. It's finally possible. For about the cost of an average guitar, you can get a pretty decked out home studio. NO, it's not a "High end' studio with all the trimmings. It's a bare bones, this will get you started studio for folks who are just getting going on the home studio world. This was simply not possible a few years ago as prices had not yet come down this far on the most pricey but, the laptop at the center.

QUESTION: How close is this to your first studio?

I'd only be against the monitors.

Though they are sold as monitors not really flat, those working with loops, samples, kontakt etc. often don't even need eq as much as we guitar players do. So to be honest pretty much anything can work them.

They are about as cheap as monitors get that can still be called "Monitors". They are not the best and not that flat, but for the price, they are a good way to get started smile.gif Some folks are still mixing on EAR BUDS!!
