I'm currently a student at Fanshawe College in London, ON taking computer networking.

On my previous coop I worked as a Computer Technician for the University of Guelph and in the winter I've applied for jobs in the Toronto area as a Network Admin or Security Specialist.

Yes, Mike and I live in the same city. No, he still has not invited me to a gig.

I think we had a thread about this a few months ago.

I'm one of the many IT people on GMC. Generically, I'm a systems administrator. More specifically, I do applications and data hosting and architecture.

QUOTE (fkalich @ Oct 11 2007, 01:56 AM) *
I thought you were English. Wonder why I thought that.

Nope I'm not English fkalich. I'm half Irish (father) and half Hong Kong Chinese (mother) but I have spent a lot of my life in England. I view myself as (part) Irish and am proud of it. I live in S Spain because of my health but if all things were equal would live back in C Cork where my father's family are from.

On being (part) Irish I always liked the quote, 'the issue with the English is that they do not remember Irish history. And the issue with the Irish is that they will not forget it.' Said, I think, by Lord Birkenhead during the negotiations for the 1921 Anglo-Irish peace treaty.

Cheers,
Tony

I work in the HVAC field. I am a field mechanic for a small A/C & Heating company. I do mostly installations and alot of service work, we also due alot of routine maintenance on systems. I climb through hot Florida attics all summer long or spend my days on rooftops that are over 115 degrees F. It doesn't pay a ton of money, but I guess it pays the bills..... huh.gif . I plan on winning the lottery on saturday, it is up to 25 million USD. Then I won't have to work so hard in the heat smile.gif

Being from Northern Ireland, I can testify that your quote has a lot of truth in it! I think we have reduced the gulf, however smile.gif

Anyway, back on topic. I make a living working for a company that designs and manufactures audio processing equipment. My time is split between writing software, designing microchips and managing a small team of engineers.

I've tested many online RPG games but never got paid for it(many in the early alpha stages). I also tested a couple of stand alone games(seven kingdoms and it's follow up's) a few years ago and the best I got from that was a free game and a mention in the game manual.
