GMC Forum _ PRACTICE ROOM _ What?

Posted by: kyldeee Sep 23 2008, 04:55 PM

I just realized that I haven't learned a whole song, since ever blink.gif
I've only been playing the lessons here in GMC...
Ok, well I learned the full song from Gary Moore, The Loner,
but that was like a billion years ago...

The problem is I really don't know which songs are too hard...
I would like to play something from SRV ( well blues mainly ), but his songs are
like, you know, crazy, and he used a lot E flat -tuning, didn't he?...
And I'm not going to do that with an FR, no sir smile.gif

So if you have some SRV song in mind that isn't TOO hard,
and isn't using E-flat tuning, PLEASE share it, so I can at least
learn one full song in this lifetime biggrin.gif

Other Blues songs will do just find, so gimme all you got smile.gif

Cheers

P.S. Whoah!! That's a lot of nagging biggrin.gif

"Marry had a little lamb" and "Pride and Joy" are fairly easy songs to start with.

well e flat tuning isnt a problem for me anymore smile.gif

i have bought a plugin for winamp called chronoton, that allows you to change tempo and pitch of any mp3 just when playing it - works pretty well for me

i think theres also a freeware alternative

I don't think so, but I never learned them in Eb tuning anyway, I learned them in standard, so it's not that big of a deal. Just follow the tabs and you'll be alright. Later on you can tune the guitar to Eb and still know how to play it.
