Can anybody tell me why some Guitar Pro file will save allow me to listen to them and others will tell me to "update my software". I have a fully functional version of Guitar Pro 5. Any hints would be appreciated.

I have 5.3 (on Mac), that's the latest version.

Don't know if that makes any difference...

Start by playing something - a bend, a riff, a scale, a song - very slowly; if you make a mistake, start over; do this over and over, until you can play it flawlessly - and I do mean flawlessly - many times in a row. Next, gradually increase the tempo. Eventually you'll be flailing like a madman.

GP changes their format by each release, which forces people to upgrade.
If the updates are free, then don't worry.

To get the RSE to work it should first assigned  RSE instruments.

You can change th instrument by clicking on the instrument name left bottom corner. Then assign a RSE instrument and Play it again with RSE button ON

Hope it helps  smile.gif
