I've not heard it all but I hated 2 songs and thought 2 songs were pretty good. I may buy it at sometime.

I'm going to pick it up sometime.

Appetite For Destruction is possibly my all time favorite album...I love Axl and all, but this is a totally different band and vibe. From what I've heard, there are some cool moments, but I don't like the production. It's too done up and modern sounding for me. Maybe I'll get it and it will grow on me.

Gotta say, I absolutely love the album smile.gif
Most old bands who make new albums try to re-create the sound they had
Axl changed GnR's sound to make it an album, not just a re-do of Appetite for Destruction and Use Your Illusion
Exellent album! smile.gif

Just my 2 cents

You gotta listen to it for a while and then there are some really (!) good songs with great lyrics. I only dislike Catcher in the rye and Riad n the Bedouins.. kinda boring songs.

i've heard it a couple of times now, and i am still not sure what to make of it.. it has it's moments, and its nice that it's something completely fresh.. i just can help thinking that this might as well had been one of the other 100's of bands that sound exactly like that.. wink.gif

anyways, i like it more now than when i first heard it, so maybe it'll grow on me some more..

I was very suprised by this album, I have never been a big G'n'R fan, so I didn't expect that much, but I have to say I love the album, it rocks. Great production, cool songs, I really like it.

I've heard a few more songs now and it's certainly different and well worth hearing. I don't think he should have used the GnR name but it's still very good. Not up there with my two favourite songs Estranged and Civil War but the songs are very good.

I think its great, the only songs I don't like so much are "Shackler's Revenge", "Riad N The Bedouins", and "Scraped", but I have a feeling they will grow on me, the rest are awesome

I will also like to add "This I Love" is one of the best ballads EVER and my favorite song on the album

I have bought my copy on tuesday and I have been listening to it a lot of times. There are many songs that are great. The production is awesome and makes this album amazing to be heard with headphones. There are some songs or moment that I don't like but the balance makes that (as a GN'R fan) I'm very happy with this new GN'R album. smile.gif

Buckethead sorprised me a lot... I have to say that when I saw live videos I didn't like his appearance and stage movements for GNR but the solos that he recorded (its detailed in the bootleg) are very interesting as well as Bumblefoot and Robin Finck solos. The guitar work in the whole album (including all the rhythm parts) is also very interesting and combines the old style with a modern style influenced by NIN, Filter, etc.

The Drum work is ok and my favourite arrangements are the ones composed by Josh Freese (One of my favourite drummer). I would like him to record the album. (he just arranged some songs and co-composed the song Chinese Democracy).

The Orquestal work in the song "There was a time" is so good.

The only things that stucks me is some moments when Axl screams too high unnecessarily for my taste.

I know that I'll continue listening to this album many times so I'll have more opinions and discover many new things in a few days but by this time I find this album very fresh and I like it. (I'm one of that guys that have been waiting since "Spaghetti Incident" for this album dry.gif ).

Gabriel.

I guess I'll buy it. I've only heard some songs so far, and I like what I hear. It's not GnR, but it's good ^^

I love "Sorry" ^^
