right so i thought just now if i put my morley wah into the effects loop thingie (fx send and return) maybe it will sound diffferent. but the stupid design fault makes it so awkward i just cant be bothered! mad.gif

what it is is that the fx send jack is on the left and the return is on the right, so if i send and return the two of my small cables will cross over and it is a stupid design fault IMO because i am sure its standard to have pedals to have the sound going in from the right and back out from the lefT!

has anyone else tried to use the fx send-return thing and realised that? or just realised it straight away?

I never tried that but putting a Wah in the fx loop but the idea itself sounds wrong to me.

And having send on the left and return to the right is fine with me, I'd be confused if it was the opposite. But operating the X3 from the top rather from behind like with an amp makes a differance I can see your confusion.

Any idea how Boss, Digitech and Korg did with their fx loops in regards to left/right?

On my marshall amp (looking from behind) send is right an return left. But I never use very small cables for patching the loop I use 6 meter ones. So no problem there. Try to get bigger cables, they are not so expensive, or simply put wah pedal in front of the POD where it belongs.
