Hey guys, two days ago I had my first gig, I was on bass on two song(original and Arch Enemy's song My Apocalypse) and I playd the guitar on Pantera's song Walk.

Forgiveness Words: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_oH0gj5o1As
My Apocalypse: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UEb01NgfXGE
Walk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pp1LAtroxxQ

So about the gig, we had a tuner, which apparantly was WAAYYY off.. So we came on stage, and as soon I playd the first note on the bass I heard something is wrong, very wrong! I thought maybe it's not too bad, but as you'll hear on the slow quiet part, it was bad tongue.gif so during the quiet part we all tuned our guitars, and I think we handled it quite proffesionally and you don't hear us tunning.

Well avecourse the tuning was kind of a guessins game and wasn't perfect, but it got us back on track, and after the slow part it actaully sounded decent.
One last note about the first song, we only had two rehersals before the show, and we always had trouble with the passages, mostly the guitar player's fault, but it wasnt too bad and we got back to it rather quickley.

Apocolypse Now went awesome, we playd smooth, without noticeable mistakes, still a few tunning issues, but at this time I allready got the lower 2 bass strings tuned right so it wasn't too noticeable.

Than comes my turn to take the guitar, suddenly the soundguy decides to mess with the sound, make it more crunchy and just not fitting to the song..
But it went rather well, until it was time for the solo... ussually I do it preety damn good, but on stage I was concentrating on the sound(yeah I know, very unproffesional) and the pressure made me play it quite badly, bends weren't very accurate, the speedy begining of it went really sloppy, and for some reason I muted the last note!

But overall it was actaully great, the audience loved our show, there was this guy who came up to me after a while and told me "You guys rocked, but now everything's crap, I'm leaving"

So overall I think it all went well, we had fun, the audience had a good time, considering this was a very varied show, most bands playing mainstream stuff in hebrew.

Well enjoy guys, or atleast try to! smile.gif

Sounded good to me, and great to hear that everything went well...
I would be freaked in that situation, cause of my huge stage fright laugh.gif
I'll be waiting for the Pantera cover wink.gif

Pantera cover is up, the solo was a dissaster lol..

By the way, this isn't my band, I'm in a diffrent band with the drummer, we helped out the other guys who were looking for a drummer and a bass player so they could appear in this show smile.gif I think I might gig with them again if the chance comes, just to hone my self confidence again lol tongue.gif

P.S: It may appear to you in the videos that I got killer muscles under my shirt, but I don't haha, the camera lies!

Congrat on your first gig. It sounds pretty funny to me the way you described it. Anyway, this is going to be an unforgetable experience to you guys. Rock on

Other than it being offtune it was fun =p, I wish I would have gotten chance to do some slapping in this show but other than in the soundcheck, I didn't have the chance ^^.

Just just can't resist the urge to slap during sound checks can't you! smile.gif I know the feeling , sound guy making the fingerstyle sound setup and than you start slapping and completely change the sound picture smile.gif Its fun really smile.gif
