I know this was supposed to be funk, but come on - I just learned my 3 notes per string patterns good and well - gotta shred it up. I know it's sloppy here and there, that's why I use my metronome everyday!

If you noticed I use a mixolydian shred run, even with the natural third it fits...strange.

Also, it was very refreshing to get out of the usual keys: E, A and G

well here is my take i tabbed out like 10 diferent takes till i came up with this and..It seemed to fit..I find im growing up a bit in the solo land...im not trying to play 17,000 notes a solo...just keeping it simple smooth lines..working on my note clarity,,and trying to get my vibrato smoothed out a bit...cause to me thats whats most important beside timeing of course lolAttached File  ballistic_funk_wbt.wav ( 9.16MB ) Number of downloads: 246

I had a lot of fun with this one David! Thanks for the collab smile.gif I learned how to relax and sit in the groove!!

Ending lick is kind of sloppy, but you'll get the idea.

You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato
