ok, so guys, tell me which model of Schecter is the one to get! smile.gif

I hear nothing but great things about them but actually know nothing of them.

I see a few of you have the "Hellraiser" which I have to say looks great!

I`m also seeing the Damien model, and the Sunset Extreme, do any of you know anything about these two models also?

All of them are well priced!

Not sure I`m in the market for anything at the moment (although I can be easily swayed laugh.gif)

Just interested smile.gif

which would you go for if comparing equally priced Ibanez, Jackson etc?

I'm actually highly considering getting a Schecter C-1 Classic for my next guitar. Like you said, I've heard nothing but great things, and they are some gorgeous guitars. I'm really looking forward to getting one.

Sorry to butt in Smells but how do you like your Ibanez with the ZR?

Well.. if you want 7 string, go for Hellraser 7 or Jeff Loomis (if you want FR version is up to you:))

From the six strings - C1 Classic is beautiful and amazing guitar and Hellraiser 6 wont be bad too I guess.. I just love the C1 Classics in Antque amber (top left)

For adjustability etc on the trem itself I know no other guitar that beats it, one thing I dont like is the stop bar, its not actually sitting in the trem so the trem itself is full floating but its when it hits it you get a kind of "clunk" (for want of a better word) and that I hate, I need to investigate removing that totally!

apart from that and the pickups (waiting for some new ones to arrive) I love it, plays great, I love the necks on the prestige models! smile.gif

C1 Classic is just beautiful.

I've never seen any schecters over here in local shops though, a shame, I'd love to try one.

I am afraid not, I will check their website and update you asap tho

EDIT: Bad news - no sing of C1 classic with floyd.

There are quite a few alternatives. Do you prefer EMG's (81/85) or Duncans (JB/JAZZ)?

You can remove that whole stop bar assembly in like 2 seconds Smells. Should be really simple. Also, if you ever get bored with that guitar and decide to sell it let me know. I would love that finish. biggrin.gif

laugh.gif looks great "in the flesh" the slim body is so comfortable as well, really nice guitar smile.gif

@Jakub - preference would be EMGs

as I said at the start though, I`m not really in the market, I`m just interested in finding out more about the models.

as also mentioned above, I can be easily swayed so stop teasing ! laugh.gif

Then it would be turning around hellraiser, omen, damien, stilleto and blackjack/blackjack ATX series. Check their site at http://schecterguitars.com/ and look at those particular series smile.gif

Your best bet would be a Schecter C-1 Hellraiser FR or a C-1 Blackjack ATX FR:

-Hellraiser features coil split EMG81/85 humbuckers and a Rosewood Fretboard
-Blackjack ATX has the new Seymour Duncan Blackout active pickups and an Ebony Fretboard

Both are great guitars but they sound diffrent, go to a store and make your choice!

Actually they have Schecters here in Mitros Bole, I've tried some models and they feel like a very cool guitars. Mostly for heavier types of music would be my categorization (i don't like categorizations btw biggrin.gif )

Well, I do love my two. However, My two were likely less than 500.00 new. Neither have tremolos, I kind of miss my whammy. I set up both of them myself and I think they play great. I do have a problem with the g string staying in tune on both of them. I have never played one of the really pricey ones, due to lack of control, that I might like it.
So if more money means better then I better stay away from the 800-1000 schectors cause my less expensive ones are pretty darn good. For a year or so from now, they will have to do. wink.gif
