I think music school is a great idea for anyone who is planning on doing anything related to music as a career. I'm actually planning on going to Berklee myself after high school.

I'm really interested in doing one of berklee's online courses, they look prety good.

I mean, music as a career isnt a certainty for me, but, just because i may not do it for a living should that stop me learning more about music?

Learning is always good, no matter how good you are on your instrument, there are always things that you can improve, so yeah, a music school can't be bad.

That's why I am here at the University of GMC (UGMC) smile.gif Kidding aside, I would love to attend a music school. Even though as DeepRoots said, not planning a career but want to create a musical path for my kids. Something I never had.

If you want to be the best player you can possibly be, consider Berklee or Musician's Institute. I am sure there are other schools just as capable of teaching you what you need, but those two stand out. You are not only taught how to play, but how to practice. Let me put it this way, if I had the money, I would go to Musicians' Institue in a heartbeat! Check out their website.

schools are great if you put the work in.... don't expect that by going to a school you are going to become great... that part is down to hard work. They can only direct you.
go for it!

Im 3 weeks from graduating and I know im going to take a year off, i've always had this idea of going into a buisness program, but for the past month I haven't been able to put my guitar down. Everyday I come home and all I do is play for hours apon hours and I thought music school might be a cool place to increase my knowledge of music and do what I love for a while

I have been contemplating the idea of pursuing a minor in music at the university I am currently attending. That is always another option to get more training in your instrument and music in general, without leaving a career in music as your only option.
