Hey everybody! I was thinking about this the other day:
We always hear about Jimmy Page, Tony Iommi, Eric Clapton and scores of other guitarists to come out the 60's/70's music era but Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac is never really mentioned (at least from what I've seen anyway) Fleetwood Mac is one of my favorite bands and Lindsey is awesome. He incorporates a lot of banjo styling into his guitar playing which gives it a very unique sound. And the man never uses a pick.
I watched The Dance dvd the other day and when he does the solo acoustic version of "Big Love" it still blows me away. I'm not sure how it rates in difficulty but I can't play it (not that that's saying much as can't really play a lot) I just think he's amazing and needed to be mentioned.

Hope the link works...kinda computer illiterate.
Fleetwood Mac is one of my favourites and I love Lindsey Buckingham. He is one of the top guitarists to me. I guess he never was recognized as such because, as you say, he was part of a band that didn't attract the guitarworshipping crowd.
