I just came up with another improv attempt.

It seems like something is missing though. Kind of like the 2 parts fight at times.
Anyone have any ideas or something better to play with the backing.

Thanks as usual for your input

Oh boy... I was expecting a rhythm guitar to enter instead there was a second guitar plucking notes.
It's too much my friend! If I may come with a suggestion - Try it the other way around instead, keep one of the guitars and exchange the other with a rhythm guitar.

I think the intro guitar sound was cool, let's say you keep that.
Around the time when the second guitar comes in, exchange that with a guitar striking a distorted powerchord and just keep it ringing until the tone dies. The first guitar keeps plucking.

Then, at the same time
* add a rhythm guitar behind the plucking (like a Lenny Kravitz rhythm) with some crunch to it.
* Either keep the low volume of the plucking or increase the volume and clean the sound up a bit.... perhaps for a bridge leading into the refrain where you could just let all hell break lose. laugh.gif

Good advice - and a little bit of drum and bass wouldn't hurt - I presume you are using some kind of recording program since you multitracked the guitar?

That guys,

I knew it needed something.

I haven't figured out the bass and Drum part yet, I can't seem to figure out how to get those in. I gues I need more software. Any suggestions ?

Thanks again, I will work on it some more and re post so you can see what I need to do next

How are you recording the guitar?

I use a program that came with the stealth plug called Tracktion

It also has Amplitube 2.0. It is just more effects though. too bad it has great effects, amp, Mic and cabinets.

Traktion should have all you need to add drums and bass - you will need to figure out how to sequence it, but at least you shouldn't need to buy any more software!

I will do some reading. I looked around once and found nothing.
Perhaps I can download some drum loops. I did get a VST plug in that makes the guitar sound like a drum, but it was not a controlled beat.

When in doubt read the instructions, I guess I should try that next.

Thanks again
