Hello GMC,

It's been a while but I've been busy with a project I really would like to share with my GMC friends here. This song is an ode to my 85 year old mother. There are no dazzling guitar solo's or other great guitar work in it but I still hope you like it.

Looking forward to comments !!!

Nico

Hey Nico, as you already know, I love your song smile.gif
From my point of view some songs can sound amazing without a dazzling guitar solo (mostly when we have a vocal). If we not talk about an instrumental song or a song composed with a certain place for a "crazy" guitar solo, it's better to keep an equal proportion for each instrument wink.gif

Your song sounds really awesome from all the aspects. Has a great melodic line (which is the key for a successful song), all the instruments are very well placed, that piano fits well in context and the singer (Joel if I remember well his name) has a very warm and pleasant voice. Also the lyrics, videoclip and the mixing are awesome.
So, huge congrats for this song!! You made an amazing job!! wink.gif

Monica,
You know very well how much I respect you as a guitarist and as a person. Over the years you have proven to be a very dedicated and ever growing musician. Once again, it's very obvious you are really looking at the key elements of whatever musical project is in front of you. So, that's why, I appreciate very much, what you just wrote here. Thanks Monica !! wink.gif

Hey Mirba,

Thank you for liking my song. One thing I need to set straight immediately is that I'm not the singer. I did everything else, including the vid, but themixing/mastering was done by Matt James Dougherty and the singer is Joel Jorgensen, check him out with his band "Angels Fall "here :
I wish I could sing like that !! wink.gif

Very well done and the video is great as well. I wish I would have made such a tribute to my own mother before we lost her. You never know how much time you have with your loved ones, so take nothing for grated smile.gif

Hi Todd, it means a lot to me that you like the song, as I know how much you've always loved your mother, and always will. I'm also very shure that she knew that and that, my friend , is the biggest tribute you can do to a mother!! wink.gif

It's not always about having fancy stuff in your guitar parts. Ability to choose what's proper, what matches the style and concept of your music, is a skill itself. Beautifull piece. No need to having anything more in it's guitar parts. Great job smile.gif
