Hello GMC

I want to thank all that supported me, although I didn't have enough votes to be selected by public choice, I had enough to get noticed by the judges, and was selected for the online final.

Now I ask you GMCers, should I upload a different video for the online final, more shred?, less shred?, slower, faster?what do you guys think.

Cheers

Jose

One thing that might help you get public votes would be to start off with some really shreddy solo passage to start off the song. I think that most of the public will stop watching most videos within the first 30 seconds unless something awesome grabs their attention.

Great entry though! Glad the judges got you to the online final. Good job!

Hi!

I watched your entry this morning Jose and it was amazing! ( sorry that I missed voting earlier sad.gif ) I loved the fact that you mixed shred with a really cool lick that was repeated throughout the "song". I also think that that was the reason why you got the judges vote since the lick is/was amazing and they noticed how really good it sounded and how hard it is to play an entire song like that. In my humble opinion your entry, along with our other GMC:ers of course, is by far the best of them so far!

Jose I've said it million times but I will say it again - you deserve to be in Finals man! I am so glad judges picked you to pass the round. I hope they will do it again so you can go to London and get exposure you deserve.
Wish you all the best with it - I don't think you need new entry by the way wink.gif

Congratulations biggrin.gif

If you _have_ to make a new one, how about some kind of melodic shred with some slow parts in it to show your feelings? smile.gif

Like your current one, though ^^

He Jose,

Good to hear about the judges notice. You deserve to get in the next round

Put in as much emotion as you can and you will blast everyone away with or without shred!!!

I should also put in things that are really you, keep it close to yourself, that is the best I can think of.

Good luck mate.

Jose, I thought your entry was great!
My thought is that you should keep your original entry as that is what the judges liked in the first time.
And we liked it too!
Good luck man!

Oh, man, I was excited about this! Very well deserved man, I loved your take. smile.gif

EDIT: so is there a chance to submit another solo? Either ways, I think your first one was absolutely awesome. I loved the tone, the structure, the chord melody and also the solo. It combines shred, techniques and melodies very pleasurable to listen to. If you do another solo, I'll be really happy hehe, but this one is awesome on its own.

Congratulations man! smile.gif

I would say, a little bit of ultra fast shred, a little bit of cool theme melodies, all balanced.

Thanks guys

So keep my current entry, or not to keep it, I think I will start preparing anyway, and decide later, thanks for the input guys.

Maybe if you are going to do another take, you can shorten the current one to make it more focused...You can take best parts you like (and make new ones etc)...Make less repetitions on the main theme and go into the "technical" stuff earlier in the take etc..Possibly make a shorter but more "exciting take" from the current one smile.gif Just throwing out some ideas...
