The Superdistortion doesn't suck IMO It's a very fine pickup and it's become a classic for a reason. Just roll off on the volume to clean up a bit if you think it's too sharp sounding. Suits very well in my mahogany LP I think.
But I'm generally doubtful about humbuckers in single coil format. It's not the same as the real humbucker, far from it. Expect a thinner and weaker sould compared to the real deal. I don't think it matters much which one you choose between the two. To be honest, there are real cheap "ebay" pickups out there that sound like a million bucks and for the investment of 1/3 of the cost for a Dimarzio or a SD it's big bang for the buck. Check out Tonerider, might surprise you. This post has been edited by MickeM: Nov 21 2008, 12:07 PM -------------------- My bands homepage

Both are good mate, you won't make a mistake choosing either one of them. I would say in general that with Dimarzio you can expect a bit more agressive sound and more classic sound with SD.
