GMC Forum _ PRACTICE ROOM _ Odd Time Signatures

Posted by: thefireball Dec 3 2012, 01:16 AM

Have you ever wrote an odd time riff in 9/4? I composed my first 9/4 riff today. It's also syncopated!

http://soundcloud.com/fireball100/9-4-time-signature-theme song, because this is only a snippet of a greater part. I am tuned to Gb E A D Gb B. That's basically Drop A, with the low A at a Gb like the second string.

Anyway...
Share your odd time riffs! smile.gif

Wow! ohmy.gif What a great way to challenge yourself on a difficult timing exercise. Nice job. Which drum program are you using?

Awesome riffage Bran! Have I told you how proud I am? biggrin.gif Well, here's a chance: I'm proud of you!

Try the 5/8 - it'll provide very nice vibes!

Awesome! Good job Brandon! I had a progressive project many years ago where we used to have some odd time signatures..

Nice one mate! smile.gif We have been working on a 5/8 riff for a new song, but it sounds more like Tool, rather than something djenty!
