Hi Huargo! Welcome to your Gab's Army thread!!

Could you please tell me a bit about you, your musical tastes, influences, strengths and weaknesses? I would need some videos of you playing rhythm and solo guitar, so please post your best material here. If you have some music or ideas of your own, also post them here. Also let me know how you think that I can help you and what are your expectations for our job. You can check the other Army's thread to discover the different modalities of this project.

The principles of our Army are:

+ Improve your technique
+ Make music and solos
+ Have fun
+ Destroy the enemy (hahaha not really just kidding... )

Hi!
i start my musical guitar journey listening jimi hendrix, Led Zeppelin, cream, Creedence creelwater revival, allman brothers... etc...
in 90' i usually listen to jane's addiction, Guns and roses, nirvana, Pixies, smashing pumpkins, stone roses...in 2000 Country, rockabilly....

Now... I'm in METAL....

All the day listening to iron maiden, sylosis, anthrax,death... my wife and my daughters are praying for a new twist in my musical taste... maybe world music they suggest... tongue.gif

ok i wanna play better that's all....
GMG is a funny way for doing that because the short lessons 1m or less are fine for me and ok sounds amazing!!!

my videos of working progress lessons..

Thanks

Hi mate! Nice videos! I can notice things to improve in both techniques (rhythm and soloing). These are my suggestions based on what I could see:

- Practice the rhythm lessons using the slower backing tracks, concentrating on playing them tight, and getting the correct sound of palm muting when it must be used. The only way to adjust this is slowing it down and practising.
- Choosing some easier/slower rhythm metal lessons for practising.
- The solo lesson sounds good and there are a few details that could sound better. One important are those fast trills that sound a bit muted. So working on a trills lesson could be a good idea.
- We can go for another solo lesson
- Nice guitar! smile.gif

Ok i'm agree in your suggestions i was working on that....
The point is with the fast trills, im making a hard work at low speed but my arms explode at full speed.... I ned rest when i'm practicing that at full speed
The guitar have the truss Rod broken, it can't be ajusted......sad.gif the action its very slow, now too mach for my taste and the high notes, dont have a long sustain.... Im sailing and amp to buy a new guitar....

Ok ! Im open to any suggestion of new lesson! Rithym, soloing...
Thanks

Hey mate! You are doing a great job with this one! I can notice that your right hand still needs some training to keep the timing at this tempo when you are playing only downstrokes, but the overall take sounds very good. Congrats! Keep on practising this one every day as an endurance training.

Thanks gab, one cuestion:
it's better reduce the bpm to work accurate or full speed for endurance?
I think my big problem it's maintain the fast tempo, stamina......
Any advice

Thanks

You always have to practice at a tempo that you can make the idea sound good. You just can go faster (5 or 10 bpms) for some minutes to then get back to thee previous tempo and feel more comfortable. But be sure of never practice something bad played over metronome for more than a minute. The only thing that you can get is to be able to play that thing, bad played, at a faster tempo. Is it clear?
