Well you need to load the backing track in reaper (using import function)..Than make another audio track on which you will record your take..After you record your take , set the export markers around the timeline...First export the mix with a backing..Than you should MUTE the backing tracks channel and export once again..You should have two tracks than one with and without backing but same length..

You need to have the lame in the reaper directory.

You go to File/Render Switch format to MP3 and then just choose your destination and bam!

When you don't want the BT in there, just mute it or delete it out. And then render it again.

Guys im not sure why, but i seem to be recording my guitar and the backing track onto the same track in reaper? huh.gif

I have the original backing track inserted, then i insert a new track for my guitar, arm it for recording. It records both the BT and my guitar? THANKS!!!

I don't actually use Reaper and the picture is too small for me to see, but make sure you armed just one track not both of them when recording (unarm the previous one)...It happened accidentally to me in daw I use many times..
