I just got an offer to buy Hamer XT sunburst for a half price of new+pickups.

On the other hand, I planned a Schecter 7 string. The thing is I would be able to do a step-back and buy a six string, but I dont know the guitar maker (only know Emir Hot has one..) and I have no experiences with them.

Do you think, it will be good for shredding/neoclassical but also for a bluesy licks (SRV,Hendrix...) etc?

Any help appreciated - i love the looks of that guitar smile.gif

EDIT: Additional info:

glued mahogany neck, mahogany body with maple front (sry if those names are bad - basically, the neck is not bolt on but glued into the body - not sure if its called set neck? and the mahogany body has one more plate of wood on the outer side from maple)

It has completely new electronics, new DiMarzio vintage humbuckers with push/pull. Seller says it also has very low action.

Hamer guitars in the main I believe to be great guitars! hard to get hold of these days as well,

I personally like this model, hard tails arnt really my thing but if they were then I`d go for it, and really if you have the ability you can shred or blues etc on practically any guitar. smile.gif

A seven string is wildly different than that Hammer... However I'veplayed those before and they're very awesome instruments. Not exactly a metal guitar, but I'm sure you could get some ripping tones out of it! Good luck man

The price is pretty awesome, considering that it's in good condition and has good electronics. I would say that it's a good buy if you decide to buy it smile.gif
