Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hey Lenni! The take is good! Congratz! I would say you a have a pretty peculiar picking technique biggrin.gif Timing was good and the bends and vibrato as well, but I think that you could work a little bit more on it just to get comfortable with the ideas. Also, around minute 0.20, you were a little bit off with the timing! Keep working on it mate and you'll get it down perfect!

Hi Lenni, I really like this take smile.gif Although there are some minor timing issues you have a good grasp of bending and your vibrato is definitely getting stronger. Although this piece would benefit from a higher gain setting, somehow you make it work with that Strat tone so the result is very Hendrix ! cool.gif

Like I said, your vibrato is getting stronger and I like how you make it wide etc, because fast vibrato in slow pieces can sound wrong. The only suggestion I have is to start using your other fingers to add strength to the vibrato, instead of using just 1 finger to vibrate the string. All the strength should come from your wrist and forearm - the finger should just be the point of contact with the string. Please have a look at my Vibrato Odyssey lessons (the written explanations and spoken videos) because I explain this process and I think it will help you get your vibrato even better.

Good work !

Sounds very good, nice sound and very good picking, specially in the faster part. Picking and tone is not the problem, but bends and vibratos are. I suggest you spend a bit more time on them, try to practice them with the metronome.

PS your guitar needs intonation job, try adjusting the saddles. You can find my tuning tutorial on GMC to help you.
