Hey guys! I was thinking that it would be funny to post bands that sound similar. We all know that when a band becomes famous there are many other new ones that try to sound close to get the same attention. This is not a thread to accuse bands of plagiarism or something like that, it's just to post bands that sound close.

Do you know any other style and group of bands that you find that sound similar?

Good find Cosmin! I'm actually afraid for Killswitch Engage now Jesse Leech (the original singer) is back in the picture.

I hated his voice. Plus they all look like Limp Bizkit in that video.

Good group Cosmin! What about these ones? I love them, they have their own personality but also have some likeness.

Destruction und Sodom.
Overkill und Exodus.
Sonata Arctica und Stratovarius.
Epica und Nightwish.
old Iron Maiden und Saxon sound the same, don't you think.
Judas Priest und Primal Fear.
Helloween und Stormwitch.
Old Pantera und Keel.
W.A.S.P. und Kingdom come.
L.A. guns und Cinderella.
Old Morbid Angel und Obituary sound simmilar pretty much.
and the list goes on..

Better question is What are the bands that Do sound UNIQUE !!???

Being a metal expert as i am i can say that King Diamond and Nevermore sound is Unique and hard to be copied..
Maybe that's the main reason that makes them the BEST touring bands around...

Good ones man! There are many bands that could be added to the Judas & Primal Fear list...

Just from my personal view, every mainstream band that is part of the whole grunge movement sounds exactly the same to me. huh.gif Same chords, same solos, same everything. However, I do realize some of them have been influential for some guitarists (Nirvana / Gabriel Leopardi) that can play circles around most people (again, Gabriel Leopardi is my example as his playing and styles he can cover are light years ahead of most biggrin.gif )
I'm also sure that a lot of people think the music I am into all sounds the same too.
